Indian e-learning outsourcing on high value curve
Indian e-learning outsourcing segment is poised for a quantum leap as the players in this space, helped by the latest technology, are targeting high value opportunities likely to come from advanced markets such the UK and the US in the next two years.
A recent study by city-based company ValueNotes Research indicates that the Indian e-learning off-shoring industry, which stood at approximately $ 341 million at the end of the year 2008, will grow to $603 million by 2012.
While noting that the economic recession will impact the growth in the industry for the next six to eight quarters, the study has projected that the market will recoup and grow much faster until 2012. "The e-learning off-shoring industry will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 15 per cent till 2012, though the growth will be more subdued till 2010," the study said.
